This is a very late birthday present for Minesweeperaddict! I had been tasked to write genderbent Oboro/Vanik, so voila! It was meant to be 100 different kisses, but there were some that just didn’t seem to lend easily to that.
Big shout out to samgideon for helping me with them and giving me tasty ideas! Thanks to Kissbingo on Livejournal as well! (It accounted for 93 prompts, with one or two altered to fit more.)
Malakin knew he would win the ring-hunt this year. How jealous all the other kits would be, mewling or stomping. It was well deserved, though! All week he had slipped from the Quellen-Kway communal dwelling, a simple building set on tall stalks near the center of a lake. Rickety bridges connected it with several other buildings, all the same matching shade of tree and all built with spherical shapes and sides.
Dual sculpts because I lost the last one due to not saving frequently enough. I kind of like it for a younger Oboro though? Second one the tentacles were bothering me though, so I reduced the back one and sort of… inflated the socket for the front to imply it had fallen out/grown over/whatever.
Not terrible for my first sculpt! Also gives me something to look back on while drawing, and I’m a lot more clear on how he’s meant to look. Not sure the sculpt is exactly as I like it, but I can work that out a bit more later. (Still not sold on keeping the back tentacles, cute as they are.)
The bulges along the lip-line are not actually teeth but rather scales, intentionally designed to resemble teeth. His real ones are actually razor sharp and angled back, like a python.
