Dual sculpts because I lost the last one due to not saving frequently enough. I kind of like it for a younger Oboro though? Second one the tentacles were bothering me though, so I reduced the back one and sort of… inflated the socket for the front to imply it had fallen out/grown over/whatever.

Not terrible for my first sculpt! Also gives me something to look back on while drawing, and I’m a lot more clear on how he’s meant to look. Not sure the sculpt is exactly as I like it, but I can work that out a bit more later. (Still not sold on keeping the back tentacles, cute as they are.)

The bulges along the lip-line are not actually teeth but rather scales, intentionally designed to resemble teeth. His real ones are actually razor sharp and angled back, like a python.

Yngol, elderly slumlord of a cesspool of a settlement called Amfersa.

Thanks to her unusual third horn and the knowledge she dispenses, she is idolized as a clairvoyant, though some would argue she is simply exceptionally well-connected.

Right, so, I’ve spent about a month with Blender and this is the best I can do. Kind of sad. xD But, I’m getting better! I’m working on Grave-Bug/Jor here, the best buddy of Oboro and strictly Chaotic Evil. It is through his own lack of strength and ability he avoids being snuffed out; an ember in the woods no one has yet spotted.

Those are technically the right proportions for the human body, but he looks a little lanky thanks to the emaciation. I’m probably going to buff up the lower legs to actually be able to support him and his big head. No tutorial in particular followed; just a lot of box-modeling practice and videos watched to get different ideas of how to approach the design.

Uh, the butt-hole was not intentional. I don’t know how it happened (crappy mesh lines that got screwed by the subdivision modifier, I assume) but whatever, when I bring the tail out further it’ll hide it.

Not sure if he’s getting a crotch or not. What do you guys think?

EDIT: Of course this isn’t the final design, just some WIP to show I’m actually working on it!

Serpent - Part Two

The intruder, colourless to her, was like gazing upon a fever dream. A cage of bone arched over its dark flesh, limbs bent at obscene angles in between humps and dangling appendage. Something opaque dripped from its sagging membrane. Yet the creature was silent, and all she could smell was the dewy night.

Serpent - Part One

minesweeperaddict:

The intruder was sensed before all else, before they were smelt or seen or heard. It was an ache in her bones that bade her be aware. It was a stiff breeze—which carried ash spores from the wooded slopes to the south to whip across her arms and mingle on her hair—that whispered rumour of another. Vigilant vapour shadows wriggled from the corners of her mind, paused in their odious devouring of sanity to send warning tremors down her vertebrae, their laughter buzzing like an insect’s song.
